Research interests
What are the mechanisms underlying the development of socio-emotional competence in children, and
what are the associated neuronal changes? My research focuses on the development and plasticity of
socio-emotional competence, including emotion recognition, empathy, and prosocial behavior. In
particular, I have been conducting an assessment of a digital training program with respect to its
efficacy in cultivating socio-emotional competence in preschoolers. In order to monitor neuronal
correlates, I utilize electroencephalographic (EEG) measurements, including EEG oscillations and event-
related potentials (ERPs; P1, N170, or P3 component, for instance).
