Teaching in OHP
Master of Psychology (2021)
Our teaching in the Master's program in Psychology focuses on the subject area of "Work and Health". The aim is to provide a scientifically sound insight into "Occupational Health Psychology" and to enable students to develop their scientific and practical skills. The central focus is on the importance of healthy workplaces and the teaching of practical skills for the design of healthy workplaces, which include the appreciation and development opportunities of employees.
Curriculum (according to study and examination regulations as of 01.10.2021):
CM 2: Work – Technology – Organisation (10 CP) – Compulsory module
The module consists of three lectures, two of which must be chosen, and accompanying seminars. The thematic focus is on work, organization and technology. In the lecture "Work" relevant paradigms, theories and research results of work psychology are taught. Topics include occupational safety and health, new forms of work, and intervention measures. The theoretical knowledge is underpinned with practical field reports. In the accompanying seminar, the focus is on the application of the theories and methods learned as well as their critical reflection.

CM 6: Special Topics in Psychology (15 LP) - Compulsory module with a choice of topics.
The module consists of four seminars that can be chosen based on personal topic preferences over two semesters. In the case of occupational psychology, the focus is on current and thus changing research topics in occupational psychology and work and health. These will be examined and critically evaluated through the study of original literature.

FM 8: Applied Methods and Diagnostics II: Health, Work, and Development (15 LP) – Focal module
The module consists of two in-depth seminars and a research project. Central to the module is the learning and application of methods relevant to the disciplines of industrial and developmental psychology. The combination of content allows for practical application and the implementation of interdisciplinary interventions.
